Gods Life boats, a small thought with huge implications....

My most telling thought when I observe people during my journey through life.

During my varied experiences of life one thing which struck me most; A very minor and small thought but with vast implications.
Our creator sends many lifeboats during our lifetime. These are in terms of physical entities, thoughts, directives from the inner self or a group of genes acting like an internal guidance system of a missile giving course corrections to us to enable us to reach our destiny. Often times just like a missile, if we deviate more than the ability of the guidance system to course correct the missile self destructs so do we. However due to our learned nature and behaviour we chose to ignore these Lifeboats or fail to recognize them as such, as often times they are in conflict with the ideas of our thinking selves in terms of who we are and what we perceive to be the right things for us to do and achieve. At the end of the day we blame our creator that in spite of being a firm believer in him and that having diligently and sincerely offered our prayers for long, he has finally not granted us mercy and neither blessed us with his goodwill.

Reminds me of a story I read somewhere some time ago (in a lighter vein)…….
An elderly lady was well-known for her faith and for her boldness in talking about it. She would stand on her front porch and shout "PRAISE THE LORD!"
Next door to her lived an atheist who would get so angry at her proclamations he would shout, "There ain't no Lord!!"
Hard times set in on the elderly lady, and she prayed for GOD to send her some assistance. She stood on her porch and shouted "PRAISE THE LORD. GOD I NEED FOOD!! I AM HAVING A HARD TIME. PLEASE LORD, SEND ME SOME GROCERIES!!"
The next morning the lady went out on her porch and noted a large bag of groceries and shouted, "PRAISE THE LORD."
The neighbour jumped from behind a bush and said, "Aha! I told you there was no Lord. I bought those groceries, God didn't."
The lady started jumping up and down and clapping her hands and said, "PRAISE THE LORD. He not only sent me groceries, but He made the devil pay for them. Praise the Lord!"
Amen to that.
